A sad day in Rangeley, ME

Uggh. A couple of challenging days on the trail and I was ready to reward myself w/ today's rest day. Unfortunately this morning I realized I've lost my freakin' camera. I've been pretty bummed all day about it. I either lost it in the last 2 miles from the last shelter before the road or in the trunk of a rental car of the nice couple who gave me and Skweaky clean (which is actually changing to "Balls deep") a hitch from the trail into town. I've spent most of my day checking with all the hotels, inns, b&b's, and any other type of lodging facility you can think of. No luck. S U C K. Not as bummed about the camera as the pictures I'd already taken and the pictures I probably won't be taking now.

Sigh.... lighter side? My pack just got lighter. ;P

Anywho, it sounds like I'm going to be hitting the trail at about the same time Beebo fox, Mandingo, Kingfish, and Bandaloo will be passing through, so we should be seeing each other soon.

Also it sounds like the guy (Gay Blade) who had to leave the trail to take care of his wife will be hitting the trail again for at least a little while. Guess he's going to get on in Gorham, NH, so we should see each other as we pass heading in opposite directions.

Ok, I gotta take off... Not sure when I'll next be able to check in - possibly in Andover which isn't too far away, but I don't know if I want to keep heading into town like this unless it's for a needed rest day or if it's just a place that can't be missed (according to other hikers)..

A few more days and I'll be in NH and into the Whites!!
