Goodbye Oregon, Hello Wasington!

2,155 - Cascade Locks, OR, right on the Columbia River, the Oregon-Washington border. Just Washington and 500 miles to go!! Three weeks, just three more weeks... crazy :)

Hiking down through the lushness of Eagle Creek in the cloudy drizzle has me psyched for Washington. And missing living in Portland... Also saw something I'd never seen before, salmon swimming upstream to spawn. Unbelievable to think about how far they'd come... HUGE too! It was really cool to see. Tons of beautiful waterfalls, definitely one of my favorite stretches on the trail even if I had already done it before :)

Grenade, the guy I'm hiking with (and most likely will through to the end) has been posting some youtube videos to his channel (ElmikeyJ84) and I think I'm in a couple of the latest ones (not sure if they're posted yet tho). He's also carrying a Spot device so you can track our progress on this web page: www.spotadventures.com and search for "MikeyJ27".

Also want to apologize for not mentioning Peter in that last post and to once again express thanks to him/you for sending ALL my prepared maildrops during this trip!! Thank you Peter! :) And Jen too for helping out with my cold/wet weather gear drop I just picked up! :)
