Oregon!!! :)

Wow, been a while - still haven't managed to get on a full-sized keyboard so a quick one-handed update on the phone as I finish this massive cinnamon roll :D For anyone interested in getting more frequent, bite-sized status updates, feel free to look me up on facebook (dreeb9871@yahoo.com) and "friend" me. Have obviously found it to be easier to post a quick status than a full blog entry :(

Doin well, hikin lots o' miles. Just finished a 10 day, 260 mile stretch from Ashland to Bend. Took a couple of days off here to recharge, hang with one of my best friends, a prepare and mail drop pretty much all my resupply food for Washington. Unfortunately there really aren't many good resupply options close to the trail.

Has been so exciting to be back in Oregon :) The Cascades, the forests, the clouds (making for some really nice sunsets/sunrises), overcast skies, cooler weather, and seeing some great friends!!!!... love it :) Frustrating not having time to see everyone I'd really love to see but I'll definitely get more of a chance when I come back through Portland to visit for a little after the trail.

Fall is in the air which I'm definitely lovin but it's also causing some anxiety over whether the weather will hold out for us over the next month.

Well, in the car speeding back to the trail now. Timberline Lodge in four days! WA in about a week!!! Shootin to finish in a month - send us lots of good luck vibes :)

Btw, us is me and Grenade who I've hiking with for something like 500-600 miles now, since Etna, CA. Definitely feel like we've partnered up and are determined to finish together. Great company for sure and the long hard days are that much more tolerable when you can laugh about it with someone :)

Onward to Canada!!!

Oh wow, almost forgot yet again... I sincerely want to thank those who've sent maildrops/care packages... Dave, Traisa, Tomoko & Alvin, Drew, my family, (sure hope I'm not forgetting anyone while thinking on the spot :| )... I so hope you know how much your thoughtfulness and support has meant...
