Just to give a head's up for those who check in now and then to see where "the fool on the hill" is - He's really putting in the miles (one day, 29 miles) - is leaving Miss Janet's House in Erwin, TN, today where he has been making more friendships and enjoying the bed and good meals while slack-packing on the trail. (He had to stay there an extra day as the food we sent him got held up in Greensboro... - one of my nightmares!) He will be in Hot Springs, NC, by Saturday and will be staying at Elmer Hall's Sunnybank Inn. That should be interesting -

Weather has been really cooperating for him, plus he has a "headlight" to help him when the sun goes down. (I guess he wanted to add to the night sounds by seeing some strange eyes looking at him before darting off...) He'll be hitting GA around the end of next week and we're hoping to be able to hike with him the last couple of miles to Springer Mountain on Sun, 11/20!
