Pearisburg

Hello from Pearisburg!! Well the days and miles just seem to be flying by! ... which makes me feel like this trek will be over before i know it.. :(

Havin fun, there's no doubt.. everyday the outdoors seems to find a way to amaze me. Have met a couple more friends to hang with which has been good. But the solitude of hiking alone is sooo great - while we usually find each other for breaks or camp at night, we usually are off on our own during the day as everyone has their own pace and perhaps each likes their quiet time as much as i do..

Well it seems my Mom is more bummed about the lack of comments to all of these posts than i really am.. I mean don't get me wrong, I do really enjoy hearing from anybody and like to know who's actually checkin this thing out... but I'm not beggin for attention or anything either. Hope there are some that are enjoying it though.

But perhaps it's because i haven't been able to reply to those that have commented - and for that I apologize.. my posts and emails are really just quick hit-and-runs for the most part... most places i don't expect to have access and at others i'm sharing with others that are around. i'm currently sitting at the motel manager's office computer, so while I love that she's lettin me on here, i don't feel like hangin on here tooo long ;)

Hey Terry and gang, was just thinking about this the other day - IF there's an office pool goin on my finishing, i'm curious - does anybody have me finishing!?! ;)

Sounds like Mama's posted some of my few pics - haven't even looked yet. SO ok, hopefully Mama and Jared will update you every now and then as i drop them notes or call to check in with them.. I'm outta here to throw my small load of laundry (she's letting me use her washer/dryer too! :) into the dryer and hit an all you can eat chinese place!

OH YEAH! ALMOST forgot! It seems I've been given a trail name finally and I'm betting quite a few of you are going to find this amusing ;) I'm now being called "The Fool" or "Fool"! It seems as this pair that I've been hangin with came into the shelter the night the sky opened up and dumped on us ALL night long they saw this tent set up in the woods outside the shelter. The comment went something like this "WHAT A FOOL!" ;) ah yes, that'd be me out there camping out under the downpour of water, nuts, branches, and potential dead trees! ;)
